For the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Monnaie de Paris has paid tribute to this major international competition through a series celebrating Sport, its values, the athletes but also the heritage of the host country. Olympism and Paralympism will be highlighted on those products, struck in France in our art workshops.

This collector coin symbolises the handover of the relay between France and Los Angeles, two hosts nations of the Olympic games. On the obverse, the relay indicator is passed between a French sportswoman (who can be identified by ther nail art) and an American sportsman. In the background, the Los Angeles skyline with a palm tree, the city’s emblematic tree, a star to recall Hollywood Boulevard and the Eiffel Tower. On the reverse, the French and American flags are side by side. The emblem of Paris 2024 completes this composition.
