With the ball tightly held against itself, the Paris 2024 Olympic Mascot continues to race towards the two posts in an attempt to score a try and extend the gap to the opposing team.
Since the Rio Games in 2016, rugby has made a comeback on the Olympic stage, this time with seven players on the field. Its particularity makes the game faster and more intense: matches last fourteen minutes and include more sprints and tries than a rugby union match. The ways of scoring points are the same as in fifteen-a-side rugby: a try is worth five points, a conversion is worth two more, and a drop and a penalty are also worth three points.
