1948–1963 USA - Franklin Half Dollar - Random Year

Obverse features a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin with inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. Reverse shows the Liberty Bell with its historic crack, accompanied by a small eagle to comply with U.S. coinage law. Designed by John R. Sinnock, it was the first circulating U.S. coin to depict a non-president. Struck in 90% silver until being replaced by the Kennedy Half Dollar in 1964.
