This coin celebrates the 150th birth anniversary of author L. M. Montgomery, creator of Anne of Green Gables. The reverse design shows Montgomery writing, with Anne Shirley gazing at a Prince Edward Island landscape, highlighted with selective colour.

The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III by Steven Rosati, marking one of the first Canadian coins with His Majesty’s portrait. Brilliant Uncirculated coin carefully removed from a Royal Canadian Mint Colourized Special Wrap Roll.
