2008 Canada - Armistice Day – Poppy Maple Leaf

This commemorative coin honors the 90th Anniversary of Armistice Day (1918–2008). The reverse shows a red-colored poppy at the center of a maple leaf, encircled by the inscriptions “REMEMBER • SOUVENIR” and “ARMISTICE 1918–2008.” The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II by Susan Taylor. A moving tribute to remembrance, struck in nickel-plated steel with selective coloring.
