2014 Hungary – 2000 Forint - Lechner Ödön Architectural Heritage

This rectangular commemorative coin was issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Lechner Ödön (1845–1914), the pioneer of Hungarian Secession architecture.

The obverse features the interior of a building designed by him, showcasing intricate arches and decorative motifs. The reverse presents a seated portrait of Lechner Ödön with one of his architectural masterpieces in the background, emphasizing his lasting influence on Hungarian design.
