Issued to honour the life and legacy of legendary jazz pianist and composer Oscar Peterson (1925–2007), this 2022 collector keepsake set includes all standard Canadian circulation denominations. The highlight is the special $1 commemorative coin, featuring Peterson playing piano with musical notes from his iconic composition Hymn to Freedom. Designed by artist Valentine De Landro, the coin reflects Canada’s pride in one of its greatest musical icons. The obverse carries the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
