Issued to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Graham Bell (1847–1922), this special edition celebrates one of history’s greatest inventors. The $1 commemorative coin, designed by Simon Ng, features Bell alongside his innovative creations — the Silver Dart aircraft and HD-4 hydrofoil. Both coloured and non-coloured versions of this coin are included, along with Canada’s 2022 circulation coins: 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, $1 (loon), and $2. The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
