Issued to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Alexander Graham Bell’s birth, this coin features a reverse designed by Canadian artist Chris Gorey. It showcases Bell’s portrait alongside schematic illustrations of the Silver Dart aircraft and HD‑4 hydrofoil, set against stylized blue waves representing Nova Scotia’s Bras d’Or Lake—highlighting the site of Bell’s late‑career experiments.
The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The coin is Brilliant Uncirculated and carefully extracted from a Royal Canadian Mint Colourized Special Wrap Roll.
