Issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day (June 6, 1944), this keepsake set pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of Canadian forces who took part in the Normandy landings. The highlight is the special $2 commemorative coin, designed by artist Tony Bianco, depicting Canadian soldiers storming Juno Beach with the word “D-Day / Le Jour J” above. Both coloured and non-coloured versions of the $2 coin are included, along with Canada’s 2019 circulation coins: 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, and $1. The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
